From February 15 to April 26, the Archaeological Museum of Messenia in Kalamata will host "Princes of Pylos", featuring more than 200 Mycenaean finds from excavations in Messenia.
At the center of the exhibit are the amazing discoveries from the
Griffin Warrior tomb, newly discovered tholos tombs, and the Palace of Nestor at
Pylos, all brought to light by UC Classics archaeologists and presented to the public for the first time.
The exhibition will later travel to the Getty Villa in Malibu and the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. The
catalogue, issued in both English and Greek, will be on sale in May.
