Majors in Classical Civilization and related disciplines such as Philosophy and Judaic Studies may be interested in pursuing ancient Greek up to a robust level. They will be rewarded with a certificate in ancient Greek.

The certificate in ancient Greek consists of 19 credits of Greek coursework. To complete the certificate, a student must pass intensive beginning Greek (15GRK1001-1002, 10 hours) and take 9 credits (3 courses) at or above the 3000 level.

The certificate is intended for majors in disciplines other than Classics who wish to learn ancient Greek up to a robust level. Students from any college at UC, as well as non-matriculated students, are eligible to pursue this certificate.
