Symposium On Mediterranean Archaeology (SOMA 2011)

On 25 January 2011 abstracts for 20‐minute presentations in English are due for the 15th annual Symposium On Mediterranean Archaeology (SOMA 2011), to take place on 3‐5 March 2011 at Catania University, Sicily. SOMA provides a friendly and supportive forum for young scholars and researchers to discuss their work without limitation regarding subject matter or period. The proceedings will be published by Archaeopress as a volume of British Archaeological Reports International Series. The Tombs of Enkomi (British Museum excavations)

On 10‐11 December 2010 an international conference entitled The Tombs of Enkomi (British Museum excavations) was held in Nicosia by the Department of Antiquities, Cyprus as part of the project Enkomi Tombs (British Excavations) in the Cyprus Museum: Digitisation Programme. On 4 February 2010 applications are due for fellowships during summer 2011 for intensive advanced Turkish language study at the American Research Institute in Turkey (ARIT) Princeton University Turkish Language Program at Bogaziçi University. The fellowships provide round‐trip airfare to Istanbul, application and tuition fees, and a maintenance stipend.
