It gives us great pleasure to congratulate Jack Davis, the Carl W. Blegen Professor of Greek Archaeology at the University of Cincinnati, on his receipt of the Gold Medal for Distinguished Lifetime Achievement from the Archaeological Institute of America, to be presented at the annual meetings on 2-5 January 2020 in Washington D.C. The AIA gives out one such award yearly for work in archaeology. Professor Davis has surveyed, excavated, and published sites in the Cyclades, Peloponnese, and Albania, and was director of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens from 2007 until 2012. The editors of Nestor join the AIA in saluting Professor Davis.
