2018 Harriet Boyd Hawes Fellowship

On 1 February 2018 applications are due for the 2018 Harriet Boyd Hawes Fellowship ($3000) to support investigation of the role of women or gender studies in Bronze Age Crete at the INSTAP Study Center for East Crete, highlighting spheres and aspects of ancient life that have not yet received sufficient attention in Aegean Bronze Age studies. Applicants should be scholars in the field of the Aegean Bronze Age/Early Iron Age who have completed a PhD in Archaeology, Anthropology, Art History, Ancient History, or Classics. 2018 Michael Ventris Award

On 15 February 2018 applications are due for the Michael Ventris Award for Mycenaean Studies for 2018 (up to £2000), to be awarded to scholars who have obtained a doctorate within the past eight years or postgraduate students about to complete the doctorate in the field of Mycenaean civilization or kindred subjects, to promote research in (1) Linear B and other Bronze Age scripts of the Aegean and Cyprus and their historical and cultural connections, or (2) all other aspects of the Bronze Age of the Aegean and Cyprus. Andrew Sherratt Fund
