UnusedMedia
One record = one piece of media
General Info
The UnusedMedia table can hold data on field and finds drawings as well. It stores (out of sight) the metadata for images that are deemed to be duplicates or not useful for study. It is a way to hide the images without removing them from the database.
Relationships
UnusedMedia is linked to the same MediaLink table that the Media table uses.
Edit Data
There are detailed instructions on the use of this table in the Importing Digital Images 2010 document. Media records are sent to this table via any of the Media layouts (Media-Large, Media-Small, and Media-None) by clicking the 'Make Unused' link to the right of the image. The records can be browsed using the Media-Unused layout.
