One record= one reference in a bibliographic work to one other entity in the database

General Info

BiblioLink provides the many-to-many relationship data between the Bibliography table and the other tables that might have published information.

Relationships

Bibliography is related to the BiblioLink table as part of a many-to-many relationship. That is, the bib entry could reference more than one item and one item can appear in more than one bib entry.

The Bibliography-BiblioLink pair occurs once in the database. It is related to: Media, ReportPhases, Phases, Rooms, Properties, SU, Trench, WallFaces, WallSegments, Finds, and Ceramics tables mostly for validation purposes. 

The BiblioLink field SerialObject is related to:

• PhasesBib::Phase
• RoomsBib::Room Number
• PropertiesBib::Address
• SUBib::SU
• TrenchBib::TrenchName
• WallFacesBib::WallFace

The validation field CheckObjectNum is related to ColorBib::Label to provide the red/green dot for validation.

Edit Data

Data is added to the bibliographic table directly on the Bibliography-Detail page. The CatNum, FigNum, Page, and Plate fields are in the Links table since they are associated with the mention of the object in the work referenced by the bib, and not the bib itself.
