The bibliography database is used for both recording published accounts of material on the insula as well as a record of the publications of the finds for our own material.

Data Entry

The Reference is a self-formatted entry. There is, as yet, no standardization for the format of the reference.

The Items list (a) acts like the Subject(s) list on the Media-Large layout. Here you list anything that might have a number and can link the item to anything else in the database: address, room, find accession number, etc.

Location (b) refers to the archive or library where the item was found. Call number might be pretty localized but is useful if you need the same book from the same collection. Description (d) is a short description of the work, not a full-on translation.

If you have a scanned copy of the document, you can store the pdf in the database as well (e). Use the 'Import' and 'Export' links at the bottom of (e) to store and retrieve the document.
