Moderately fine green-tan clay; matt
black paint.
Rounded rim, pushed in by handle. Round
vertical handle from just below rim to
shoulder. Two opposite round horizontal
handles at belly.
Mended in antiquity with four flat lead
clamps: two on shoulder, one at belly,
one on a non-joining fragment set in
plaster on lower body. Three more holes
pierced for missing lead clamps.
Band at rim inside and out and at base of
neck. Big double circles on shoulder.
Single circle around handle attachments.
Sherds with lead clamps K.3432, K.3426,
K.3572 belong to this hydria and have been
restored with it.
