House AB, Room XXXIX Z.4, lower floor
(LHIIB). Mostly from A 2-53, two
sherds from A12-52, three sherds from AC 12-18
Fabric hard, fine, brittle, greyish buff;
surfaces buff, polished; paint lustrous black,
leaving a pink shadow where worn. Small disc
base with rounded edge sharply hollowed under
base. Thin concave stem, conical semiglobular
bowl, slightly closing. Short, spreading lip
sharply set off from body. Flat strap handles
(restored with two%; one completely missing.)
Rim pulled down at handles giving a distinct
arch to rim. On each side five simple line
running spirals (FM 46 approx. 52 but with fewer turns);
no more than four of the five spirals are preserved. No
lower handle join preserved.
