Peg-top rhyton with prominent ring-moulding
at base of neck.
Fine pinkish-buff biscuit, buff slip.
Decorated with lustrous dark brown to black
paint, worn in places, and with very
fugitive added white: neck coated, band
below moulding%;B body divided vertically
into panels with alternating Double Axes
and Ivy Leaf, framed by "Battlements",
with fill ornament of dotted semicircles
and pairs of wavy lines. On the horizontal
line of each battlement is a narrow white
zigzag, barely visible.
