Coarse reddish-brown fabric, blackened
at rim, and coated inside with porous
shiny black slag (very irregular).
Shape: roughly hemi-spherical, with a
spout (bridged) at rim; the base has
a semi-circular in groove
for a
stick (of about 0.025 diam.) on which
the crucible could rest and rock for
pouring. (The groove is at right angles
to the spout.)
