Reddish-brown semi-coarse clay, with
particles throughout. Exterior once
smoothed, but now worn.
Globular conical shape. Base slightly
raised and slightly hollow beneath.
Wide mouth with flat rim.
At widest diameter is a horizontal
M.Cycladic lug handle, vertically
pierced. On opposite side of jar are
two spouts, one near top, one near
bottom.
The upper spout is just below the rim,
cylindrical, protruding almost horizontally, but
its edges are broken off. The lower spout lies
directly below the upper, but just above the base;
it is conical, turns obliquely downward, and is
pierced vertically through its length.
Probably a burial jar; no bones were found, but
the jar was protected in a well-constructed stone
enclosure. Period D by stratigraphy and pot type.
