Fine buff biscuit, yellow-buff slip;
decorated in lustrous black. FS 103, with
narrow horiz. lip, open bridged spout,
laid-on ribbed handle from rim to shoulder
flat bottom, shallow moulding at base of
neck. Decor: spout and interior of neck
coated; on lip, Curved Stripes; on handle
double Foliate Band with row of dots
between (FM64:23); on neck, below broad
band, Foliate Band similar to FM64:7 but upside-down
and with tongues rather than dots; on body 5 big Shields
(FM37:1) separated by 2 curving vertical bands and fill
ornament of multiple tricurved arches; one broad and one
narrow band below; broad band at foot.
