Oval pot with a window-like opening,
0.112 wide, in the upper part of one of
the long sides%;B five small holes preserved,
diameter ca. 0.013, four of them spaced
almost symmetrically around the body
near its maximum diametre, while the
fifth hole (and probably a lost sixth)
are at a higher level at the back of the
pot opposite the window. Also at the back
is the stub of a round vertical handle

which had been thrust through the wall.
The profile of the back and sides is rather
globular, while the profile of the front
curves more sharply to the rim of the window.
Flat base, but uneven so that the pot rocks.
The shape of the top of the pot is unknown;
about a dozen other sherds probably
but do not join.

Coarse red-brown fabric, fairly hard-baked;
burnt black inside.
