Frag., mended from 7 sherds, preserving
1/3 of upper body, 1 handle.

Clay buff to orange; black glaze, largely
fugitive or misfired red; red paint.
Flaring wall with bulge at handle level;
plain lip; bell-shaped horizontal handle,
round in section, at lip. Tips of wide-
spread rays at bottom of frag., overlap-
ping onto a broad zone of red and black
stripes on reserved ground. Above, chain
of alternating lotus flowers (black glaze)
and buds (red paint) linked flower to
flower and bud to bud by arcs. One red
and one black band divide flowers from
handle zone with vertical zigzags. Red line at lip.
Inside glazed with reserved line at lip. Handle
glazed except next to body.
