Very fine pink-buff biscuit, buff
coating, decorated with lustrous red-
brown paint. Animal with rounded ears
and long pointed nose holding conical
bowl. Hollow body with hole into bowl.
Decoration: band around rim of bowl
and hole inside bowl; circle or solid
dot in bottom of bowl; band around neck
of animal,4 around each arm; stripe
from shoulders to below bowl; back
outlined and filled with cross-hatch-
ing; chevron on head with point between

eyes and extending to band at back of neck; eyes circles
with dot in centers; stripe across top of nose; trace of
paint on bottom of bowl. Resembles one from Syros (E.
Vermuele, Greece in the Bronze Age, Fig. 8)
Conservation 1969: Color in bad condition, covered and
mixed with mud. First, the color was fixed in small areas
at a time with acquatec
+ aqua; then, before this
dried completely, mud was removed. Subsequently
cleaned with distilled water.
