Coarse grey-tan biscuit, buff slip, brown
& black paint. Piriform. Round vertical
handle attached at shoulder; fkxtraised
base. Dec.: Handle neck & foot coated
brown/black; reserve band at base of neck
below which another band to lower handle
attachment. Main zone of decoration:en-
closed by black lines on bottom of band
below neck & on top of uppermost of the
3 bands around lower part of vase. In
this zone panels are formed by looping
lines of brown/black dots enclosed by double black lines
Each of the 7 panels contains one leaf or flower, filled
with brown/black dots and from one to four solid brown
leaves. Another leaf hangs down from handle join. This
brown & black paint may have been the same.
