Rather fine grey biscuit with white sur-
face decorated with purple & black paint.
Globular. Disc top; flat handle to shoul-
der; small raised base; rounded conical
spout with small opening at 90° to han=
dle. Decoration: on disc, 3 sets of paral-
lel lines, the inner ones forming a tri-
angle around the opening; narrow black
bands bordering wide purple one around
base of neck; purple & black bands around
base; below handle, purple filled circle
(over)
with curved stem & tendrils rising beside it up on to
handle, perhaps; opposite spout, purple filled circle
outlined in black with 4 equidistant opposite spirals
(like tendrils in first side); opposite handle, single
spiral rising from base, purple outlined in black,
following its curve a sort of foliate band.
Neck & spout made seperately & attached. Th.at handle
zone 0.004, at middle 0.0045; at bottom 0.005.
Conservation 1968: Black stains from swamp mud
(Boúpkos), in many places right into the clay.
Distilled water, cleaned manually.
Acrylic resin + acetone. Small amount of restoration.
