Rather fine, sandy, micaceous, pinkish-
buff biscuit coated with thin creamy
wash and decorated in red and black mati
paint. Globular. Cut away spout with
round, arched, vertical handle attached
at lowest point of spout, to shoulder;
large swelling at base of turned-back
neck; flat bottom. Decoration: Black
curving lines on neck; black on handle
and at its point of attachment; band of
red at bottom; in front center, red dot
surrounded by black ones, encircled by red spiral with
redblack dots outside its perimeter. Cycladic.
