Troy I Bowl

Shape A6 (see chart below). Polished Ware. This is a handmade Fine Polished Ware bowl. The rim has zigzag incisions around the top. Not seen from this view is a lug on the outside of the bowl below the rim. The exterior is a brownish/black color and is highly polished.

Troy I Jug

Shape B13 (see chart below). Polished ware. This is the most common shape of jug during this period; it has a globular body with a beak-like spout. The exterior is a brown color.

Troy II Vessel

Shape D13 (see chart below). Red Coated Ware. This lid is formed to represent a human face.

Troy II Ring Vase

Shape D30 (see chart below). Early Aegean Ware. A ring vase with a spout and basket handle, the spout tapers like a beak, and there is a knob like a tail below the handle. This seems to have been an innovation of Troy II.

Non-Pottery Finds

Marble Figurine

This small figurine from Troy II is made of marble. The design was popular in the Cyclades, from where this figurine was probably imported.
