Plan of Troy I-IX
The Archaeology of Troy Showcase

Troy was once thought to have been just a myth, instead the city is very real. Troy is in the northwestern region of present-day Turkey at a site known as Hissarlik. Carl W. Blegen and Marion Rawson led the UC excavation at the site from 1932-1938. They followed in the footsteps of Heinrich Schliemann and William Dörpfeld and discovered nine distinct Trojan cities. These UC excavations were all made possible due to the support of Dr. William T. Semple and Louise Taft Semple.
