Nestor Dashboard Widget

Introducing the Nestor Dashboard Widget.

Dashboard is a technology found in Apple's Tiger (10.4) operating system. You can find more about Dashboard from Apple's website.

Let's put them together:

Download the Nestor widget.

You will notice that the widget only has one search field. This field searches the entire bibliographical entry: authors, titles, years, publication data, even page numbers. Simply click in the field, type a search criteria and hit return.

The Nestor widget only returns 30 results. If you need more complexity, hit the Nestor icon on the upper right of the window to go to the main Nestor search engine.

Now for the fun part. One of the default widgets supplied by Apple is a translator widget. You can use this to help you find bibliography if you can't quite remember the right word.

For instance, a search in Nestor for 'dagger' will yield the following:

But you can have the translator widget get you the German word, 'Dolch':

And search for that in Nestor as well:
